Family Maternity Session, Old Town Alexandria

What a pleasure it was to meet this family in Old Town Alexandria.  What connected us together was our past; the mother & I both being in the same sorority at the same college!  I hardly talk about those college days but it was so fun to talk with someone who had the same experiences (go DZ!)!   It was the perfect evening for a family session in the beautiful historic, Old Town Alexandria!  I rarely photograph in Alexandria but it’s a gem!  There are so many cute little streets and hidden walkways!  I happened to find this scenic walkway, perfect for their family maternity session!  They are the cutest family and I’m so happy they are welcoming their son very soon!  It’s nice to capture this moment of time for their family to cherish forever.

Emily turns One!

This adorable pinky pie is turning one!  What a fun month to have your birthday, March (I’m a March baby too!) because spring starts!  Emily looks as adorable as can be with her pink birthday dress and pink flowers!  She’s pretty in pink! She wasn’t about the cake and when mommy smashed her hands into the cake, she didn’t like the sticky on her fingers.  But she still had fun and gave us some cute smiles!  Happy 1st Birthday, Emily!

Lorelei is ONE, Cake Smash – Centreville, Virginia

It was just last week when I was capturing her newborn photos!  Now she’s ONE?!?!  Wha?!?  Lorelei is SUCH a cutie pie with her adorable cheeks and the cute looks she gives!  It was fun to photograph her first birthday cake smash!  We got to use my new antique highchair too, since this little one is very mobile!  Mermaids and under the sea is the theme of her first birthday!  She is going to ‘make waves’, now that she’s ONE!!

Family Session, Centreville Virginia

It’s nice to have my family live close by so I can photograph them each year.  I enjoy seeing my brother with his wife and two girls.  Each year as I photograph them, I am still amazing at how big the girls are.  They grow so fast during this time in their lives and it felt like just yesterday I was babysitting a little 6 and 7 year old!  They have become beautiful young ladies inside and out.  I think they had a fun time during this session and so did I!

Extended Family Session, Chantilly Virginia

This was a fun extended family session!  All the family was in town and wanted to give their parents this session as a gift from the kids.  Such a cool idea and something they’ll always cherish.  We had a few hiccups prior to the session but everything worked out and made for some awesome rustic family photos!  My favorite are the grandparents with the grand-kids pictures.  It’s so classic and just automatically brings a smile to your face (even though the babies aren’t too happy).  Again, this was an awesome way to give something back to the parents and also get everyone’s family photos done at the same time!  Definitely one of my favorite sessions of the year!
